1. FLASH-GUARD® meets gravity steam flash-sterilization parameters (270°F for 3 or 10 minutes) as defined by ANSI, AAMI, AORN and sterilizer manufacturers.

2. FLASH-GUARD® is fail-safe; It has no moving parts during the sterilization process.

5. FLASH-GUARD® operates the same in a pre-vac steam sterilizer as it does in a high-speed gravity displacement (Flash) sterilizer.

6. FLASH-GUARD®'s durable stainless steel is not harmed by chemicals found in hospital steam (which come from boiler feed water treatment).

7. FLASH-GUARD® is failure-proof. If a sterilization failure occurs, it is always a sterilizer malfunction.

8. FLASH-GUARD® was designed with a sterilization indicator test. Flash cycle process integrator testing devices are placed in the open Flash-Guard® exhaust port and removed and read prior to removal of the Flash-Guard® from the sterilizer. If a sterilizer failure is indicated, a different sterilizer is to be used, or the time or temperature increased to achieve a proper readout.

9. FLASH-GUARD® comes complete with a universal handle to be used to close the lid, close the exhaust port, and extract the unit onto a cart or back table.

10. FLASH-GUARD® has no valves to deteriorate or repace, and stainless steel does not degrade to a point of system failure.
